June 19, 2024 

Day 5 started with a morning prayer. I reached school at 8:30 am and marked the morning attendance. Today, I had morning duty to do. My teaching period was the second hour at 9.A, where I covered "Half a Day" (paragraphs 14 to 15). In regard to Reading Day, a program was conducted in the auditorium of the school. June 19, known as Reading Day in India, commemorates the birth anniversary of P.N. Panicker, the father of the library and literacy movement in Kerala. The day is celebrated to emphasize the importance of reading and literacy in fostering education and personal growth. The day recognizes the contributions of P.N. Panicker in promoting literacy and library movements in Kerala, which played a significant role in improving the state's literacy rate. It encourages individuals, especially students, to develop a habit of reading, essential for academic success and lifelong learning. The school conducted a program based on the Reading Day celebration involving skits, poems, storytelling, etc. The program started at 9:45 am, and various performances highlighted the significance of reading. I left the school at 3:30 pm after marking the evening attendance.

June 20, 2024

Day 6 started with a morning prayer. I reached school at 9:00 am due to heavy rain and marked the morning attendance. My teaching period was the second hour at 9.A, where I covered "Half a Day" (paragraphs 16 and 17). The second day of the Reading Week celebration included programs such as essay writing competitions, poem writing competitions, reading competitions, storytelling, and story writing. The variety of activities provided students with different ways to engage with and celebrate the joy of reading. During the seventh hour, I went to 5C and managed the class. I left the school at 3:45 pm after marking the evening attendance.

June 21, 2024 

Day 7 started with a morning prayer. I reached school at 8:30 am and marked the morning attendance. I had morning line duty. My teaching period was the fifth hour at 9.A, where I covered "Half a Day" (paragraph 18). I completed the lesson and did the textual activities. During the third hour, I managed Class 6.E and did dictation in Malayalam and English during the fourth hour in Class 6.D. After class, I left the school at 3:45 pm after marking the evening attendance.

Today is International Yoga Day. In relation to Yoga Day, the SPC students assembled in the auditorium and practiced yoga with proper guidance. This activity provided an excellent opportunity for the students to understand the importance of physical and mental well-being through yoga.

June 22, 2024

Day 8 started with a morning prayer. I reached school at 8:30 am and marked the morning attendance. I had morning line duty. There was a parade of SPC. During the first hour, I had a substitution in Class 6.D and took attendance. My teaching period was the third hour at 9.A, where I started the new lesson "Debts of Gratitude" by Selma Lagerlöf (paragraphs 1 and 2). A dental checkup camp was organized by the school in association with PMS Dental College and conducted in the auditorium. This initiative aimed to promote dental health awareness among students, ensuring they understand the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. After lunch duty, I completed some pending work and left the school at 2:30 pm.
